Pierce County Dental Foundation The Foundation's Mission: The Pierce County Dental Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization formed in 2003. The Foundation was started to raise and disperse funds for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. The unique aspect of the Foundation is that all money raised will be distributed exclusively in Pierce County.PCDF has a goal of raising $1,000,000 for it's endowment fund. The proceeds will be used to support community programs that support access to care, building oral health awareness, and supporting the education of dental health professionals. ![]() All proceeds for the “A Day for Smiles” goes to the Pierce County Dental Foundation Endowment fund. The fund has a goal of $1,000,000. The Foundation Endowment has started disbursing proceeds over $500,000.00 for oral health care for those in need, oral health education, and to support education for dental professionals. Over $41,000.00 in grants have been disbursed since January 2020 as we continue to strive to reach our goal. The Foundation has supported several community events to promote improved oral health such as: Pierce County Dentists Care Program, Bates Free Senior Dental Day, Tacoma Rescue Mission Free Dental Day, Pierce County Veteran’s Resource Fair, Pierce County Dental Society Children’s Dental Health Day, oral hygiene supplies for schools in Pierce County, Pierce County Free Dental Events, Community Health Care, Lindquist Dental Clinic for Children and Scholarships for Bates Technical College Dental Assisting Program, Clover Park Technical College Dental Assisting Program, Pierce College Dental Hygiene Program. ![]() ![]() |
